IDEAS NEDED...

West Berkshire's Single Funding Formula is now out for consultation for responses by 20th November. Even with the best case scenario of the LA agreeing to inject additional funding from headroom we are still gong to be £40,000 down.
We are in the process of arranging a meeting with GOSE (Government Office for the South East) but I am not hopeful as to the outcome.

I have contacted all our local Councillors, our MP & am talking to as many local Heads as I can to make them aware of the seriousness of our position & the likely knock on
effect in terms of an end to the outreach support we currently give to local schools & settings. I am also writing a paper to set out clearly what we currently offer & what we could potentially offer in the future.

Can anyone offer any other suggestions?
Are other Nursery Schools willing to contact their local Government Offices & insist on meetings to at least raise the profile of what is happening?

Really don't know what else to do!

Just for fun...

is this child a logical thinker?

Am I the only one who finds some of the DEVELOPMENT MATTERS statements highly amusing?
My favourite so far is 'is a logical thinker from birth'... Can ANYone explain how you actually tell if a two day old baby is thinking logically???? Jo Hinson

I have no idea - but I quite like the 'take pleasure in personal hygiene including toileting' - the mental images aren't pleasant!

'Sustain healthy emotional attachments through familiar, trusting, safe and secure relationships' doesn't appear until 8-20 months. Do they really think this isn't important BEFORE 8 months of age? Margaret Edgington
